The Wisdom and Spirit of God's Universe!
Such love that is the Eternity of all Thought!
One who creates all life and images in a breath
And such everlasting motion! Never in poor vain,
By day or star-light known from my first birth dawn
Of such Childhood paths - God intertwines me
His passions that builds up our human Souls,
Not with the mean and vulgar works of Man
But with higher love, about enduring things,
With life and nature, purifying us (ouch that hurts)
This created element of feeling and of thought,
And sanctifying by such singular discipline of Love,
Both thru fear and pain, until we finally do recognize
A music grandeur in the beatings of the one great heart!

Hi,
Welcome to the blog-world! Very lovely poem...I really like it. People don't seem to share their poetry much on the blog-world, unfortunately.
Thanks for your comments on THE SEA BELL. They were very helpful in explaining the poem. I guess I had forgotten to take Tolkien's military experience into account. I had read some information on THE SEA BELL but no one had mentioned anything about that. Tolkien is not very eager to explain his works, I've noticed. He tries to keep the meanings hidden as much as possible. C.S. Lewis apparently used to complain about that.
After thinking about it, I realized that many (if not all) of Tolkien's works must have been influenced by the war. I've enjoyed perusing his quotes about his own life, to get a little closer look into the worldview of the author. (Someday I'd like to read his book of letters) I thought his extreme dislike for "machines" was very interesting - also a result of the war, perhaps.

Thanks StrongJoy!
I have enjoyed your 'blog' site - since I discovered it - some 6 months past! It was one of your quoted poems that inspired (motivated) me to 'blog' - smile...
I see you are talented in writing and literature.
When I first discovered Tolkien's books, some 25 years ago, I was enraptured with the Lord of the Rings series, so much so - that I finished the main 4 books in just 3 weeks! Great impact on my life (to say the least)!
